How to make Guacamole
Guacamole – When it comes to healthy eating we sometimes miss out on foods that we think are bad for us. Yes we all all love to tuck into a bowl of Guacamole but we think it’s bad because we sit with a handful of tortilla chips and tuck in.
The Guacamole isn’t the bad thing here it’s the chips.
Try eating this with a lean piece of chicken instead, not only is this delicious it’s good for you as well. So why not make a bowl of this today and keep it in the fridge for a tasty snack. Just remember not to eat the whole bowl in one go.
So What do you need to make Guacamole?
8 large ripe avocados, chopped
2 large tomatoes, chopped
1 large onion, chopped
1 bunch cilantro, finely chopped
3 small Serrano peppers, ribs and some seeds removed, minced
Coarse salt
Juice of 4 lemons
Scoup out the flesh of the ripe avocados. (if you are not sure how to tell if an avocado is ripe, when you go to the store pick up the avocados and give it a light squeeze. If it has a slight give in it, it’s ripe if it’s hard put it back on the shelf it’s not ripe.)
Mix all of the above ingredients in a large bowl, mashing slightly and there you have it perfect Guacamole.
Eat it with some lean chicken or if you want to eat it as a dip then try some celery , carrotts or cucumber sticks.
Perfect for when friends come round you can join in, just stay away from the tortilla chips.
It will taste great and your stomach and waiste line will be happy too.
Who says loosing weight has to be boring.
